Avoid burning out

- Taking some weeks or months off always help. After months of doing bug bounty, you usually develop liking to something other than bug bounty. This is a good time to do it. Try to train like a pro-gamer in a game you like for a month is also a good option.

- If you are burning out, there is a good chance that you are having many items in your bug bounty todo list. Just creates a file call archive.txt and move all these items to this and move this field to the deepest place in your computer. It will light up your head instantly.

- Realize that there is no must-do, have-to-do, ought-to-do, should-do things in bug bounty (in life as well). You do them because they feel right for you, because they are interesting to you. And if they are not feel right for you, you don't need to do them. The worst that can happen is you lose some bounties. But you just save yourself from a lot of stress and burning-out. If you stick to this principle, your mind is clear and light. Hunting bugs with this state of mind will get you more bugs in the future.

- If you have any mental images of how a good hacker is like, you should drop it. Chasing a false image is always stressful. Some examples are:

    + Good hackers always try harder and come out victorious. => No, If they always try harder, they will be burnt out. Don't feel ashamed walking away from challenges if they are too hard for you.

    + All good hackers are good at programming/networking/recon/server-side bugs/client-side bugs/rce/whatever-take0ver => if you don't like any of these, you don't need to force yourself to learn it. That's a high-way to burnout.

    + Good hackers use terminal like crazy => again, a false image.

How to succeed in bug bounty as a non-talented bug hunter

When I started bug bounty hunting about 4 years ago. I looked up information about top bug bounty hunter and wondered how are they hunting bugs and grow their H1 reputation so fast. 1 year later, when I found my 1st, 10th, 20th bugs. I still had this question. Because although I had found some bugs, it took me a few days to find one. Recently, as I get more mature in bug bounty. I start to develop a deep understanding for a program. I see many attack surfaces that other people don't realize. When this program releases a new feature, I check if this feature can be abused to attack the attack surfaces A, B, C or D. Oftentimes, at least 1+ bugs are found. When I keep hunting on this program and discover a new attack surface, I check if any existing features can be abused to attack this attack surface. Oftentimes, at least 1+ bugs are found. When there is no new released feature and attack surfaces. I sometimes  wander the program, looking at already tested features and to my surprise.
